Shortlisted in BMJ writing competition 2015 – Woohoo!!

Can’t work out how to link this to my blog so I’m going to put it in as a post because am well chuffed.  However, having just read the piece back I’m feeling a bit sad and wonder if the titular Woohoo was entirely appropriate.  Bit peculiar, after all, to say “Hey!  I’m really excited about a traumatic and devastating thing that I’ve recounted and published for the world to see“.  Noble silence or more humble acknowledgement may have been better.

  1. I’ve just started reading your blog having been alerted to it in one of the journals at work. I’m a nurse working with people living with dementia and find that first hand carer experiences are always worth reading. Your beautifully written blog is no exception. I shall follow with interest. Congratulations on your award- it’s well deserved.
